My name is Amanda Jones, and I am the founder of Hear My Hands.  I recieved a Bachelor of Science in Education from Mississippi College. I have 10 years experience of working with small children, age birth to six.  I taught first grade and discovered my love for early literacy. I am currently a full time mom and a presenter with Sign2me. I have seen the benefits of using American SIgn Language with children, both professionally and personally. My son produced his first sign at 7  months and at 12 months he had over 25 signs. I quickly began to see how signing bridges the gap to early literacy when he began to read words at 14 months. He now has over 100 signs and communicates anything he desires.

Signing has become my passion ever since I've seen the amazing benefits with my son. When I realized that I wanted to pursue teaching parents to sign with their children, I began  to formally learn ASL. In addition to book and video study, I have taken on-line classes from Signing OnLine.

I am a Level One Certified member of the Sign2Me® Presenters' Network.* My curriculum is based on the use of American Sign Language as outlined in Dr. Joseph Garcia's award-winning SIGN with your BABY® program. I would love nothing more than for every parent and child to experience the amazing joys and benefits of signing together. What a pleasure and an honor it is to share such a blessing with other families!
